Westwood Secondary School opened its doors in Malton, Ontario in September 1968 with 585 students. It is located at 3545 Morning Star Drive. The first principal was Kenneth Teeter. The school had a capacity of 1150 pupils when it opened. The school was set on 17 acres and cost $3 million to build. At the official opening on November 28, 1968 Elwy Yost hosted the opening ceremonies. Yost spoke about the changes in education; that teachers used to rely on textbooks alone. Yost mentioned films, magazines, overhead projectors, slides and television as modern teaching aids. Westwood Secondary School and Erindale Secondary School are architecturally twins; the exteriors are nearly identical while their interiors are different. Prior to 1968, most Malton students were bused to Applewood Heights Secondary School. In 1968, before Glenforest Secondary School opened in 1969, the Dixie-Bloor and Rockwood students were bused to Westwood SS. The brick and mortar of Westwood Secondary School still exists, as do the memories of the students that attended Westwood for 32 years. The school was renamed Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School in 2000. ==Yearbook== “Fidelitas” 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Westwood Secondary School – Malton」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
